SigEp Spring Recruitment 2010
Spring Formal Rush for Indiana University begins on Friday, January 29th.
Question and Answer Session with Doug Snyder and Joe Greiner on why they joined a fraternity and their experiences during Spring Recruitment.
Doug Snyder is a junior from Noblesville, Indiana majoring in Business and Pre Med. He is currently the President of the Indiana Beta chapter.
Question: Did you look at other houses before joining SigEp?
Answer: Yes, I did look at other fraternities in the fall, but didn't see anything I liked or interested me. I also didn't really like what the other fraternities were about. I wanted to join a fraternity that would make me a better person.
Question: Since you didn't end up joining a fraternity in the fall, what kept your interest in Greek life during Spring Recruitment?
Answer: I wasn't going to do one, but I got a call from Tyler Coward (member of SigEP), and I decided to give one last fraternity one last chance and I was completely sold.
Question: What kind of advice would you give to people going through Spring Recruitment?
Answer: My advice would be don't give up for what you haven't found yet. The right fraternity is out there for you if you just keep looking.

Joe Greiner is a junior from Noblesville, Indiana majoring in Telecommunications.
Question: Did you go through fall recruitment, if so, what was your experience like?
Answer: Yeah I did go through, I got a lot of bids from houses, but I never could make a decision on a specific house. I never really saw what I liked or was looking for. By the end of the fall, I was disappointed with the Greek system.
Question: How did you end up joining SigEp?
Answer: I had friends on my floor freshman year that brought me to SigEp events and the rest is history.
Question: What advice would you give to people going through Spring Recruitment?
Answer: Advice would be don't give up looking for what you haven't found, the right fraternity is out there for you, just keep looking.
